I'm interested in the nature of reality; comparative religious studies; poetry; alternative healing methods; astronomy; faeries; collecting affordable art; surfing (& shopping) the Net; cats-ok, dogs, too; eating chocolate; the Caribbean in general-and my beach in particular. I read a lot of catalogs, both for fun (shopping) and out of professional interest. I watch a good deal of science programming, and most of my reading these days is nonfiction of one sort or another: I read O magazine cover to cover (pretty much), and read other magazines, lots of web articles, and mostly nonfiction books such as The Heartmath Solution, Many Years From Now (a McCartney bio), How to Build Your Own Web Page, The Aquarian Conspiracy, and Conversations with God. However, this trend follows years of also reading vast amounts of science fiction and fantasy, which I have again been dipping into with Patricia McKillip's latest, as well as the new Earthsea books from Urusula LeGuin. (And yes, I've read The Lord of the Rings-and The Hobbit-no less than 17 times. And I'm not sorry.) | ![]() |
![]() | I collect a number of things, including representations of Santa Claus, dragonflies, faeries, wizards, mermaids, and dragons (no real ones yet!); books; cups & saucers; pitchers; plates (I inherited my mother's collection); etc., etc., ETC. I know a lot more about cancer than I really want to. My crazy husband & I love the Keys even though we don't boat, and moved here after several vacation visits and Landmark Education's The Forum seminar (yes, it changed our lives!). We are hoping to build our first home next year. |
